Artica Systems is a Portland, Oregon-based manufacturer of fully electric, autonomous cryotherapy chambers. Founded by thermo-mechanical engineer Evan Kuklinski — an ex-Intel innovator — the company was born out of frustration with unreliable machines his wife Amber was dealing with in her wellness clinic.
Their lineup includes three models: the Element (compact, plug-and-play, single-chamber — ideal for small businesses and home use), the Vortex (high-velocity, fits 1–2 users, 8.2 kW cooling at under $15/day to run), and the Ethos (dual-room flagship, unlimited back-to-back sessions, perceived temps down to −185 °F).
What sets Artica apart is full autonomy. The Automation Scheduler handles daily power-ups and shutdowns on a timetable. BreezeLink™ lets clients adjust temperature and airflow from inside the chamber — no attendant needed. Their CryoBoost™ cascade refrigeration uses eco-friendly refrigerants, no nitrogen. And a built-in Predictive AI monitors thermal, pressure, and vibration sensors in real time, flagging issues before they become downtime.
Daily operating costs sit at $5–$8 on the Ethos. All units are designed and assembled in Oregon, USA.
