Impact Cryotherapy was an Atlanta-based manufacturer founded in 2014 by Richard Otto and Bob Atwood, later joined by Gene Guertin. The company sold over 360 units across 35 US states and 7 countries before ceasing operations in 2022 due to post-pandemic economic pressures, supply chain issues, and losses accumulated since early 2021.
Their primary product was the Impact Cryosauna, a nitrogen-based whole-body cryotherapy chamber. The company operated as a full-service provider — not just selling machines, but offering business consultation, marketing support, project management, training, and ongoing service.
Impact Cryotherapy now operates under CryoPro LLC (trading as Cryo-XS), which continues to service and support Impact units built after 2013. If you own an Impact machine, replacement parts and technical support are still available through Cryo-XS.
